2026 Junior Golf League β€” Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 2026 Junior Golf League?

It’s a 10-week Monday junior golf league for young golfers ages 12–17, designed to help them build skills, make friends, and compete in a fun, supportive environment across three South Jersey courses.

When does the league start and end?

The regular season begins June 7, 2026, and runs through August 9, 2026, followed by a Championship round on August 16, 2026. There is no play on July 5, 2026.

What time do players tee off each week?

League play begins at 4:00 PM weekly.

What is the registration deadline?

The entry deadline is May 31st.

How much does it cost to participate?

The total cost is $149 to sign up plus $25 per week. When registering online, you will be charged $174 upfront, which covers the $149 registration fee plus your first week of play. You will then be charged $25 each subsequent week for the remainder of the season.

What ages are eligible?

Young golfers ages 12–17 are welcome.

Are there separate divisions?

Yes β€” three divisions: 12–14 Boys & Girls (combined), 15–17 Boys, and 15–17 Girls.

Is there a participation limit?

Yes. Each division is capped at 24 players, so early registration is encouraged.

Which course does each division start at?

12–14 year olds start at Golden Pheasant, 15–17 Girls start at Rancocas, and 15–17 Boys start at The Links β€” regardless of where they sign up.

Do players stay at the same course all season?

No. Groups rotate to a new course each week in this order: Golden Pheasant β†’ Rancocas β†’ The Links, then the cycle repeats.

What format is played at each course?

The format varies by course β€” Golden Pheasant rounds are individual stroke play, Rancocas rounds are a 2-person scramble, and The Links rounds are a 4-person scramble.

How are playing groups determined each week?

Groups are randomly assigned by pro shop staff each week.

How does the weekly scoring work?

Every week awards a maximum of 10 points, regardless of format. Points are structured as follows:

Why is the scoring structured this way?

The scoring is intentionally normalized so that a player’s season total is fair regardless of which formats they played on any given week. A 10-point maximum applies across all three courses, so no one benefits or suffers simply because of which course their group happened to rotate to.

How are season standings determined?

Players accumulate points each week over the 10-week regular season. Standings at the end of Week 10 determine who advances to the Championship round.

Is there a championship round?

Yes! The season concludes with a Championship round on August 16, 2026, held at Golden Pheasant. The end-of-season winner in each division is the top point earner.

What is included with participation each week?

9 holes of golf (walking) and range balls are included each week.

What kind of instruction is provided?

PGA Professional instruction tailored to all skill levels.

What will my child gain beyond golf skills?

Players develop sportsmanship, respect, and perseverance β€” on and off the course β€” through competitive, character-building play.

Which golf courses are involved?

Rancocas Golf Club, Golden Pheasant Golf Club, and The Links Golf Club.
